1x Circular Root Control Disc designed for growers using 1Pot XL module or system, the Root Control Disc prevents roots from encroaching on the AQUAvalve. We recommend the Disc is used gold face up though growers may still use the sheet effectively gold face down if they wish. There is no wrong way to put them in the pot as either side up works. Also, you can get a couple grow cycles out of the root control material. If the copper coating oxidizes off, you can still reuse them as there is copper woven throughout the material as well.
Pro Tip: To initially increase the permeability of your Root Control Disc, you can soak them in a solution with a standard wetting agent diluted at the recommended rate for 48 hours and then put it in your pot. Do not rinse it off before using it after soaking in a wetting agent.

They work well. Have only had few strains with very aggressive roots with the combination of Lotus Nutrients end up with roots in trays.

They work but it’s tough to get too many cycles with them. Once you clean them the copper is gone and hard to tell which side is up or down. I usually just buy new ones for every run but that cost adds up.

Hey Ray, just because the copper coating disappears doesn’t mean they can’t be reused. There is also copper woven throughout the material so you should be using these for at least 3-4 runs before you replace them.
