PotSocks have been designed to keep even the most agile root system where it belongs… contained in the pot! PotSocks are great for growers cultivating long term crops or simply plants with a very aggressive root system. Available in square or round variations, to fit the easy2grow, 1Pot, XL pots or fabric pots. PotSocks will help prevent roots from growing into the tray and affecting the AQUAvalve but it is important to always check your AQUAvalves on a regular basis as aggressively rooting plants can still grow through on rare occasions. If you have a plant with an extra-aggressive root system, consider doubling up on PotSocks to add an extra layer of protection. You can get a couple grow cycles out of the root control material. If the copper coating oxidizes off, you can still reuse them as there is copper woven throughout the material as well.
The PotSock Square is used with 2.2 gal or 3.9 gal pots.

Do yourself a favor and grab a few of these. It will be nice to have on hand when you inevitably plant your AutoPot but forget to install the copper square in the bottom, like me. These fit very snugly on the outside of my 3.9gl pots, perfect fit. Haven’t actually used it all the way through to harvest yet, but I could see preferring these over the basic copper squares.

It was a little smaller than I thought so I ended up cutting the seams and opening them up. Im using them to keep the roots from growing into the wicks of my AC Infinity Self watering bases. I was worried that it would prevent the wicks from working but they actually expanded the surface area. Next time I’ll just buy the squares

Help prevent roots from travelling beyond them. My only negative on them is the copper (if) after one use is almost completely gone. So for reuse, if the copper really matters, I have used them again without issue. But if copper is not necessary, why not lower the price and sell just black? I’m considering the grill mats that are made from copper and just cutting them to fit, as I know they are copper, for the bottom flat area inside the square or round ones. Bought in a roll it is definitely less expensive.
